PRETORIA, 28 September 2006

By signing the Joint Statement on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations, the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Madagascar established diplomatic relations 27 September 2006 in Pretoria, the Republic of South Africa.

The Joint Statement was signed by Croatian Ambassador to South Africa Ivan Picukarić and Madagascan Ambassador to South Africa Yvan Randriasandratrinionysu.

The setting up of diplomatic relations will contribute to the development and promotion of bilateral co-operation, as well as the development of mutual relations based on the principles from the UN Charter.
